Defining the Imaginary

Mediplex

A group of 6 doctors, each with individual practices, had outgrown their small, dated facility, and asked Studio Four Design to assist them in developing their own project in a growing medical park that could serve their needs as well as provide leasable space for medical tenants.

With a budget of $75/sf for the shell building, Studio Four Design produced a 25,000 sf, 3-story modern office building with accommodations for a future 12,000 sf expansion. With the mass of the building primarily an open-plan box skinned in stucco and curtain wall for tenants, the overall design concept was to create a visually striking front elevation organized by a clear entry point that could be seen from the main highway nearby. The use of floor to ceiling glass puts all circulation on display to approaching visitors and provides views to the surrounding community countryside beyond from inside. Studio Four Design also provided space planning and finish packages for all tenants in the building.
